Mahindra has incorporated a few design elements to the K8, K6+ and K6 variants of the KUV100. The K8 variant is now available with two options for dual-tone body paint - Flamboyant Red or Dazzling Silver body colour with a metallic black roof. Moreover, the 14-inch alloy wheels have been ditched for larger 15-inch ones and the interior is now draped with an all-black sporty theme. With new additions, the price of the K8 variant starts at Rs 6.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is about Rs 13,000 more than the standard K8 (five-seater) petrol-powered variant. The K6+ and K6 variants now come equipped with 14-inch alloy wheels as part of the standard kit.
Limited production capacity and overwhelming consumer demand has resulted in long waiting period for some of the most popular car models on sale in India today. Now, it seems like Mahindra is all set to address this situation, which is plaguing its highly coveted model, the KUV100 micro-SUV. Mahindra will soon increase the production of its facility to 8,500 units per month from the current count of 5500 units, over the course of coming months, which will substantially reduce the over all waiting period of the six-seater. A CNG-powered test mule was recently spotted testing in Maharashtra. It is targeted to capture the semi urban areas in the country. Mahindra is expected to launch it in India by mid-2017.
