The latest buzz is that you can record the sound of mosquito wing flap on your cellphone and identify the species !!

Mosquito bites as we know can be deadly as mosquito are vector of disease such as dengue, Zika and malaria . as we know prevention is better than cure , and even better is know is knowing your enemy in order to defeat him/her. this is what an app is developed for killing the mosquito . Standford university is hoping to do so with the help of smartphones they are trying to detect mosquitoes and to check which categories they are belong to , In youtube and standford medicine news centre site, prakash says that A buzz can identify 20 species with 70 to 90 percentage accuracy .

"It is depending upon the data and the location sent from the smart phone " says Prakash in an interview .

you just have to keep in the mind that there should be buzz noise and there should be no other sound in that area .

after a match is detected the researchers get back to the person who sent the recording and then pinpoint every similar recording on map on the website thus revealing when and where mosquitoes where spotted . Abuzz made use of the fact that mosquitoes breed can distinguished from one their wingbeats the thing that bring out their distinctive cry.
